Everything You Need To Know About Karma

Does Karma really exist?

Emphatically, YES! You may not be familiar with the term ‘karma,’ but you have probably heard of the sayings, “What goes around comes around,” and “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” This universal ‘Golden Rule’ has been described throughout history in various cultures and traditions. Regardless of the title, this principle and its inevitable reality remain the same.

Karma is alive and well. She still reigns supreme. Unfortunately or not for you and yours, this diva will never die. To understand her fundamental aspects, there are three rules of karma that you should know.

Three Rules of Karma

1. No one is immune to Karma
2. Karma has no expiration date
3. Ignorance of Karma is no excuse

Over the years I have endlessly consulted my spirit guides concerning the topic of karma. This is a popular question. I will state for the record that I am a firm believer in karma. I personally have connected the dots through my own trials and tribulations. I have witnessed countless examples of karma’s retribution. I have seen into the future, what she has in store for those who have tempted the hand of fate.

Karma is a perplexing prophecy. There are reasons why the coined phrase, “karma is a bitch,” is used daily worldwide. Off the top of my head I could list 101 examples and/or experiences that tell me she is very real. I can promise you I am not the only one who thinks this way and has a story to tell proving her existence.

This knowledge is well-known to the enlightened. That is why many ascended souls reincarnate. They are aware there is much work to do. As such, they come back determined to eliminate their karmic ‘debt.’ They came to realize on the other side that it was their sole responsibility to end the cycle. Blessed with this knowledge, they chose reincarnation. These brave souls have approached me with their thoughts. Many of you remember and know enough to be inquisitive and to justify concern. I have felt your apprehensions even though you have returned with a predestined course of action. There is an unmistakable vibe to an ‘old soul.’ They have absolutely no time to waste. You can feel the urgency to their mission. They wear their purpose on their sleeve. We should all have such identifiable conviction about eliminating karma.

Karma delivers what you deserve. Let’s just say that you are under the assumption that karma can’t touch you. Karma, smarma. You may even have the notion that by wearing your ‘superhero’ cosmic cape of protection you are shielded from her wrath. Or, you might be so bold as to think that since you have not killed someone, you are good. I am sorry to inform you that delusions of grandeur do not apply when it comes to karma.

If you are a ‘nonbeliever’ these concepts can be a tad bit tricky to comprehend. You may be the type of person who refuses to accept the reality of karma all together. Sheer denial could allow you to dodge some bullets. Not all, but some. Karma demands that your bill be paid in full, meaning that if you pass before your slate is clean, your karma will transfer on. Dying does not provide a ‘free pass’ guarantee that all is forgotten. Your debt remains and is dependent upon the varying degrees of past and present karmic-worthy incidences you have been involved with. This could be your own or a generational accumulation.

Let’s say you have lost a close blood relative on this earthly plane. This could be a parent, grandparent, sibling, child, etc. They may have had deplorable behaviors. They knowingly hurt themselves and/or others. There may have even been a long list of people left behind that felt harmed, damaged or hoodoed in one way or another by this person. That negative vibration doesn’t stop because they are now dust. Their ill deeds can continue to be discussed. Their wrongs are then distributed into the universe where they can be confirmed and amplified.

Have you ever noticed that your family seems to be cursed with extremely bad luck? There is an unmistakable pattern to this ‘bad luck’ or karma that manifests as a chain of unfortunate events. If something can go wrong it will and it always seems to be more than you deserve. This sheer volume of negativity isn’t a coincidence. You may wonder why bad things are happening to yourself and your family because you are good people after all. You may be suffering for your family member’s sins.

They may be gone but what about those close to them. Those living loved ones carry the burden. Remarks of character can transfer. These stains imprint upon the souls of those connected to you, usually by bloodline. Blood bonds never wash off. Paying for the sins of a relative are the reality for many of us. Think of it like this, we have all heard the sayings, ‘Like mother, like daughter,’ and ‘Like father, like son.’ This is a sword that cuts both ways. Karma won’t stop because you did. She lives and breathes, mightier than ever.

This is a lesson for all of us to be mindful of our intentions. Our words and actions carry a power of either negative or positive energy to the equation. Remember the possible consequences. If you cannot heed the warning for yourself, do it for all that follow. Begin today on curing wounds, not causing or continuing them. Our time here is limited and there isn’t one of you out there that couldn’t work on making amends for a predecessor or eliminating your own bad karma. Believe me, I have seen enough to assure you she is very real.

  1. I feel like a common misconception from pop culture is to think that there is “good” and “bad” karma. It’s all negative and something to be avoided. Even the legendary Hindu deities accrue karma, and in some schools of thought at the end of their incredibly long lives they will also have to answer for their deeds in order to bring the universe back into balance.
