Enlightened doesn’t mean that we do not understand stress and experience its wrath. As humans it is inevitable at times to escape its clutches. At some point, we are all confronted with feeling overwhelmed or completely drained. There realistically is no way to stop this.

You can sidestep, dodge and avoid issues, but sooner or later they will catch up with you. Unfortunately when that happens you must decide how you will deal with those challenges. This is what separates the boys from the men and the girls from the women.

It is all about how you react to and handle your challenges (whatever they may be).

Today was all about that for us. This is how we chose to decompress. We took the time to journey to a quiet and comforting space where we were able to commune with nature. We did this because we respect our being and know that we are worthy of repair.

We applied all the stress relieving techniques that we share with our readers such as connecting with Mother Earth, deep breathing, awareness, finding our center, mindfulness meditation, getting grounded, bonding with each other, exercise, gratitude and forgiveness.

All of these fundamentals brought us back to a state of calm. By the end of the day, we had released our stress and restored our inner peace. So when it comes to choosing stress over serenity, be assured that we will find our way to the second choice by practicing that which we preach.
